Powerful Name

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.  Prov. 18:10. In this world that we live in things can get crazy Rey quickly.  So much violence, bad economy, loss of a family member or spouse, loss of a income. Rebellious children, makes us feel overwhelmed at times.  We can become discouraged, and despaired.  We must remember what the Bible tells us in Eph. 6:12  Foe our struggles is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Satan uses the people in our lives to do his dirty work.  We who are in this world must learn that it is not the people that are causing the grief in our lives, but Satan.  Remeber, he is the thief that comes to steal, destroy and kill.  John 10:10. When you love God, Satan is going to do and use anything and anyone to drive a wedge between you and God.  He hates God, and because you love God, he hates you.  There is a way to defeat Satan, James 4:7-8 states; Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Come near to God and he will come near to you.

Remeber the Scripture I started with, the name of Jesus is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.  That is the key to living a victorious and peace filled life.  So if you are in a situation where you have lost your peace, run to that tower of strength.  The name of Jesus saves!

If you have never made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life, you can do it now.  He knows what is happening in your life.  He knows where you’ve been and what you’ve done.  All you have to do is confess your sins to Him and ask Him to forgive you.  He will.  He has promised in His Word 1 john 1:9 If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Don’t wait, make the decision now, It’s the Best Decision you’ll ever make!   God Bless you.

The one thing I ask of the LORD–

the thing I seek most–

is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life.

delighting in the LORD’S perfections meditating in His Temple.  Ps. 27: 4

What do you most desire?  How do you start your day?  Do you begin your day in His presence?  How we begin our day will set the tone for how that day will go.  Do we wake up grouchy and grumbling?  Or do you wake up saying:  This is the day the LORD has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.   Remember when you wake up, Satan is waiting to see how you are going to start your day.  If you are going to wake up praising the LORD, that does not make him happyand he is going to do all he can to steal your joy.   Remember, he comes seeking whom he may devour, steal from and destroy.

If you make Jesus your refuge, your hiding place, your high tower, He will protect you and encourage you.  Take our scripture for today and live it out.  Spend time in God’s presence. If you are feeling whimpy he will renew you.  When you make Him your priority, you will find strength in and through Him.    He will conceal you when troubles come.  He will hide you in His sanctuary.  But first you must seek Him.  Do this because you love Him and want to get to know Him more, not just because you want something from Him.  He longs to walk with you and talk with you every day of your life.  He has said in His Word, come and talk with me.  Let your heart respond to Him.

That emptiness that you feel can only be filled with His love.  He loved you before you even knew about Him.  But, don’t be satisfied to know about Him.  Get to know Him.  He has a plan for your life.  Jer. 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you, “says the LORD.”  They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12  In those days when you pray, I will listen.  13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

It is always great to be encourage by the people around us.  But, the ultimate encouragement comes from the Word of God.  He will tell you who you are in Him, and what you can do through Him.  But again, in order to find out what the plans of God for your life are is for you to spend time in His presence.

If you’ve never made Jesus your LORD and Savior, call out to Him right now.  He’s been waiting for you.  Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.  Ask Him to forgive you and come into your heart and life.  He will and then you will start to know what it means to spend time in His presence.  It’s the best decision you’ll ever make.  God Bless!!
